This week and last weekend were up and down as far as bass fishing was concerned.  The weather played a big part.  Some days were calm and the fishing was good and when the wind was up the fishing was very slow.  The barometer was not steady and that played an important part as well. 

I did manage to catch a few 1 to 2 lb bass on most days as depicted in the picture, (I’ve got to learn to watch where the sun is).  And I managed to catch a few of the smaller crappie and some nice channel cats on the fly rod. 

I saw my next door neighbor while fishing and he said that he caught a 15 1/2 " crappie this week.  My biggest was about 10".  I’ll keep trying.  That’s it for now.

Jim  I took a break while I was writing this entry to go out to fill my bird feeders.  When I opened the back door in the garage there were six young wild turkeys eating the seeds that fall to the ground from my feeders.  Nice surprise!
